Managing Your Account Settings
Manage settings and preferences
Account Settings is where you manage your personal profile, sign-in credentials, notification preferences, and security settings. Changes here affect only your own account and are separate from organization-level settings.
Opening Account Settings
Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner of any page, then select Account Settings.
Profile
The Profile tab lets you update your display name and email address.
Updating Your Name
Your name appears in the platform navigation, on requests you’ve submitted, in approval history logs, and in notification emails. To change it:
- Click the Name field.
- Enter your updated name.
- Click Save.
Updating Your Email Address
Your email address is your sign-in identifier and where DiscountFlow sends notifications. To change it:
- Click the Email field.
- Enter the new address.
- Click Save.
A confirmation email is sent to the new address. The change does not take effect until you click the confirmation link. Until confirmed, your old email remains active.
If you change your email to one that doesn’t match the domain your organization uses for SSO, you may be unable to sign in via Google after the change. Verify the new address works before confirming.
Security
The Security tab manages your password and Google connection.
Changing Your Password
- Click Change Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter the new password and confirm it.
- Click Save.
If you signed up with Google and have never set a password, use the Forgot password? flow on the login page to create one.
Linking or Unlinking Google
See Signing In with Google for the full steps to link or unlink your Google account.
Notifications
The Notifications tab controls which email and in-app notifications you receive. See Managing Your Notification Preferences for a complete guide to the available toggles and recommended settings.
Danger Zone
At the bottom of Account Settings, the Danger Zone section contains irreversible actions:
Leaving an Organization
If you belong to multiple organizations, you can leave one without deleting your account. Select the organization from the dropdown and click Leave Organization. Your account remains active in any other organizations you belong to.
You cannot leave the last organization on your account — you must either be removed by an Administrator or delete your account entirely.
Deleting Your Account
Permanently deletes your DiscountFlow account and removes you from all organizations. This action cannot be undone.
Before deleting:
- Export any request data you need to retain
- Ensure another Administrator exists in any organizations where you are the only Administrator — you cannot delete your account if you are the sole Administrator of an active organization
To delete your account, click Delete Account and confirm with your password.
