Saving a Draft

Saving a Draft

Save a request as a draft to finish and submit it later.

Last updated: Jun 16, 2026

A draft is a request that has been saved but not yet submitted for approval. Drafts are only visible to the person who created them and do not enter the approval workflow until they are submitted.

Saving as a draft

On the request form, click Save without clicking Submit. The request is saved with a Draft status and you are kept on the form (or returned to the list depending on your action).

You can save a draft at any point — even with only partial information filled in. This lets you start a request, step away, and return to finish it later.

Finding your drafts

Draft requests appear in the Active Requests list alongside submitted and pending requests. The Status column shows Draft for any unsent request.

To continue editing a draft:

  1. Go to Active Requests in the sidebar.
  2. Find your draft in the list — look for the Draft status badge.
  3. Click the project name link to reopen the form.

Editing a draft

A draft can be fully edited. All fields remain editable until the request is submitted. You can add or remove product lines, update customer details, and change any field on the form.

Click Save again after making changes to preserve your updates.

Deleting a draft

If you no longer need a draft, you can delete it from the Active Requests list using the actions menu (⋮) → Delete. Draft deletion is permanent.

Submitting when ready

When the request is complete, click Submit on the form. The draft status changes to Submitted and the request enters the approval workflow. See Submitting a Request for Approval for what happens next.
