Changing Your Password

Changing Your Password

Update your account password from the My Account page.

Last updated: Jul 2, 2026

You can change your password at any time from the My Account page. Your current password is required to set a new one.

Navigating to My Account

Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner, then select My Account. The password fields are in the Update Password section below your profile information.

Password fields

FieldDescription
Current passwordYour existing password. Required to verify your identity before allowing a change.
New passwordThe password you want to switch to.
Confirm new passwordEnter the new password again to confirm there are no typos.

Changing your password

  1. Enter your current password in the first field.
  2. Enter your new password in the second field.
  3. Re-enter the new password in the Confirm new password field.
  4. Click Update Details.

If your current password is incorrect, the save will fail with a validation error. If the new password and confirmation do not match, it will also fail.

Password strength guidance

A strong password is:

  • At least 15 characters long, or
  • At least 8 characters including at least one number and one lowercase letter

Longer passwords with a mix of characters are harder to guess and more secure.

If you signed up with Google

If your account was created via Google sign-in and you have never set a password manually, you cannot use the Update Password form — there is no existing password to verify against.

To set a password on a Google-linked account, sign out and use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in page to go through the password reset flow.

After changing your password

Your new password is active immediately. Other active sessions are not terminated automatically — if you suspect unauthorized access, sign out of all sessions and change your password again.
