Filtering Requests by Status

Filtering Requests by Status

Zero in on exactly the requests you need.

Last updated: Jun 11, 2026

The Requests list shows all requests you have access to, across every status. Status filters let you narrow the list to exactly what you need — whether that’s your pending drafts, requests waiting on approvers, or completed approvals you need to export.

The Status Tabs

At the top of the Requests list, a row of tabs filters the list by status:

TabShows

All

Every request regardless of status

Active

Requests currently in Draft or Pending

Approved

Requests that have passed all approval levels

Denied

Requests that were denied at one or more levels

Archived

Requests that have been archived

Click a tab to filter the list. The count displayed on each tab reflects how many requests currently match that status.

The Active Tab

The Active tab combines Draft and Pending requests into one view. This is the most useful tab for submitters who want to see what they still need to work on and what’s currently in review. For approvers, Active shows requests that are pending and awaiting their action alongside any open drafts.

Filtering Within a Tab

Within any status tab, you can apply additional filters using the filter controls above the list:

  • Search — Filter by request name, submitter name, or product name. Results update as you type.
  • Request type — Filter to a specific request type using the type dropdown.
  • Date range — Filter by submission date using a start and end date picker.
  • Submitter — Filter by the team member who created the request (Administrators and Approvers only).

Multiple filters can be active at the same time. To clear all filters and return to the full list for that tab, click Clear filters.

Saving Filter State

DiscountFlow remembers your last active tab and filter selections within a session. If you navigate away from the Requests list and return, your previous filters will still be applied. To reset to the default view, click the All tab and clear any active filters.

Requests You Can See

What appears in your Requests list depends on your role:

  • Members (Submitters) — See only the requests they created.
  • Approvers — See their own requests and all requests assigned to their approval levels.
  • Administrators — See all requests in the organization.

If you expect to see a request that isn’t appearing, check that you’re on the correct tab and that no filters are excluding it.
