Deleting a Request
Permanently remove an approval request from the system.
Last updated: Jul 2, 2026
Deleting a request permanently removes it from DiscountFlow. This action cannot be undone and the request cannot be recovered after deletion.
Who can delete requests
Deletion requires the delete requests permission.
When to delete vs archive
Before deleting, consider whether archiving is more appropriate:
- Archive if you want to keep the request for historical reference or auditing purposes.
- Delete only if the request should be permanently removed — for example, a duplicate, a test entry, or data that should not be retained.
How to delete a request
From a list page
- Go to the request list page where the request appears (Active, Approved, Denied, or Archived).
- Click the three-dot actions menu (⋮) in the request's row.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
The request is permanently removed and does not appear in any list page.
From the request form (drafts)
Draft requests can also be deleted directly from the request form using the delete action available on the form.
What gets deleted
When a request is deleted, the following is permanently removed:
- The request record and all its header information
- All product lines (opportunities) associated with the request
- Any review history linked to the request
