Request Types Tab

Request Types Tab

Manage the request type categories that appear on the discount request form.

Last updated: Jun 30, 2026

Request types categorize discount requests and appear as options in the Type of Request field when a team member creates a new request. This tab is where you manage those categories.

Navigating to this tab

Go to Settings and click the Request Types tab. This tab requires the Manage Settings permission.

The request types list

The tab displays all configured request types. Each type shows its name as it appears on the request form.

Adding a request type

Click Add to open the Create Request Type modal.

FieldRequiredDescription
NameYesThe label shown in the Type of Request dropdown on the request form, e.g. Price Match or Volume Discount.

Click Save. A URL-safe slug is generated automatically from the name and used internally to identify the type.

Removing a request type

Click the delete action on a request type. The type is permanently removed and will no longer appear as an option when creating new requests.

Existing requests that used the deleted type will retain their type value — deletion only prevents the type from being selected on new requests.

Recommended setup

Configure at least the basic request types your team uses before members begin creating requests. Common types include:

  • New Quote
  • Renewal
  • Price Match
  • Special Pricing
