User Approval Levels Tab
Define the approval hierarchy and price thresholds used to route discount requests.
Approval levels define the hierarchy used to route discount requests for review. Each level has a name, a short code, and optional price thresholds (Limits of Authority) that determine when a request must be escalated to that level.
Navigating to this tab
Go to Settings and click the User Approval Levels tab. This tab requires the Manage Settings permission.
The approval levels list
The tab displays all existing approval levels ordered by rank — the order in which levels are evaluated when routing a request for approval. Lower rank numbers are evaluated first.
Adding an approval level
Click Add to open the New Approval Level modal.
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | A descriptive title for the level, e.g. General Manager or Director. This is what appears in approval level dropdowns across the app. |
| Code | Yes | A short uppercase identifier, e.g. GM or DIR. Maximum 25 characters. |
| LOA at Price Requested | No | The price threshold for the requested amount that triggers this level. Requests at or above this amount require approval from a user at this level or higher. |
| LOA at Approved Price | No | The price threshold for the approved amount. Controls which level must sign off on the final approved price. |
| Description | No | Optional notes about this level's scope or responsibilities. |
Click Save to create the level. New levels are added at the end of the rank order.
Editing an approval level
Click the edit action on any existing level. The Approval Level Details modal opens pre-filled with the current values. Update as needed and click Save.
Deleting an approval level
Click the delete action on a level. The level is permanently removed. Users who had this level assigned will have their approval level cleared — they will no longer appear as eligible reviewers for requests.
Before deleting a level, reassign any members currently using it to a different level to avoid disrupting the approval workflow.
