Extended Metrics: Products Approved

Extended Metrics: Products Approved

Learn what the Products Approved count tracks in Company Analytics.

Last updated: Jun 16, 2026

Products Approved is an extended metric that appears in the Company Analytics view. It counts the number of distinct products that appear on approved requests within the selected date range.

Where to find it

The Products Approved metric card appears in the Company Analytics view under the heading Extended metrics. It is only visible to users with the extended analytics permission.

What it measures

Products Approved counts the total number of unique products included in approved discount requests during the selected date range.

If the same product appears on multiple approved requests, it is counted each time — this is a count of product appearances on approved requests, not a count of distinct part numbers.

Who can see it

This metric is part of the extended analytics permission set. It is available to users who have been granted extended analytics access by an organization owner or admin in Settings. Organization owners always have access to extended metrics.

How to use it

Track product demand — a high Products Approved count indicates a period of high-volume deal activity across the catalog.

Combine with Average Sale — pairing the Products Approved count with the Average Sale metric gives a sense of both volume and deal size during the period.

Use with date range filtering — compare Products Approved across different date ranges to identify periods of higher or lower product activity.
